2009 Tax Software Review

by Tax Guy on February 1, 2010

Welcome to the 2009 Canadian Tax Software Review! This is the most complete review of Canadian personal income tax software! I have compared the major features of the current offering of Canadian personal income tax preparation software.

Web Based Or Store Bought?

Store bought software is available at many retail outlets across Canada, including Future Shop, Best Buy, Costco and Tiger Direct. With the store bought software, you simply put the CD or DVD into your computer and you will be doing your taxes in no time.

All of the products offered in the stores is also available by download.

Web based tax software does not require software to be loaded on to your computer. The information is stored on the providers’ servers. Be aware of privacy, as the CRA does not verify or review the software providers’ privacy policies.
