The CRA is asking construction professionals to make their customers aware of the Home Renovation Tax Credit.

The CRA released a tax tip for those in the construction industry that explains the credit and how it works. They are encouraging builders to help their clients by:

“providing them with the documentation they need to support their HRTC claims. Agreements, invoices, and receipts, must clearly identify the type and quantity of goods purchased or services provided”

The CRA has also prepared a number of information pamphlets that builders can download and give to their clients.
