In the last couple of years, there has been an explosion of Canadian Income Tax preparation software. The best known tax software packages such as QuickTax and UFile have been available in retail stores across Canada and available to purchase on the web.

A few years ago, some providers began supporting Income tax preparation and filing through an internet based porthole. You log into the software through your browser and prepare ans file your tax return through the software providers servers.
