I’ve always been a fan of the reusable containers and those who want “filtered” water could use something like a Brita or other type of filter device.

I have a friend who buys 24 bottles of water a week. The amount of trash generated is ridiculous. In some places you pay for garbage removal…so using a reusable container would probably save you your removal expenses as well.

I might add to your pet peeve about bottled water that many of the suppliers have admitted that they are just bottling tap water. What a rip. Buy a thermos and bottle your own. I like an insulated thermos better than a plastic container for three reasons. One, it keeps your drink cold (or hot); two, water does not get “plastic” flavor; and three, it does not have as much risk of BPA in the plastic.
